Care

Silk

Dry clean charmeuse and satin. Lighter crepe de chine can be hand washed in cool water with a silk detergent, rolled in a towel and hung to dry away from sun. Iron on the reverse while slightly damp, on the silk setting.

Wool

Air after wearing rather than washing; steam to refresh. Dry clean once or twice a season. Store on a shaped hanger with cedar; fold knits.

Linen

Machine wash at 30° on a gentle cycle, reshape and hang to dry. Iron while damp for a crisp finish or leave as is for the softened look we design for. Linen gets better with every wash.

Velvet

Dry clean only. Never iron: hang in a steamy bathroom or use a hand steamer held a few centimetres away from the pile. Store hanging, never folded.

Repairs

Patterns stay on file for every piece we make. Loose buttons, popped seams and hem adjustments are repaired free of charge in the first two years, and at cost thereafter — email care@vilna.fashion.
