Made slowly, worn for years.

VILNA began in 2019 in a two-room atelier in Kyiv, where a pattern cutter and two seamstresses made dresses for friends who wanted clothes that felt like the ones their grandmothers had kept. Word travelled; the atelier grew to eleven people, but the method never changed: one block, five sizes, fabrics chosen for how they age rather than how they photograph.

Fabric first

We buy sandwashed silk from Como, double-face wool crepe and flannel from Biella, and washed linen from Lithuania. Every bolt is tested for shrinkage, colourfastness and hand before we cut, and each season we retire fabrics that did not wear the way we hoped.

Small batches, honest prices

We produce forty to sixty of each style. It means some colours sell out, and we accept that: we would rather replenish than discount. Prices are shown in USD or EUR by region and include EU duties, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.

Repair, not replace

Patterns stay on file. If a seam gives after years of wear, send the piece back and we will repair it at cost — or for free within the first two years.
